Before you order
- Use the supply calculator to plan quantities; count total calories and water volume, not just marketed days or servings.
- Read current ingredients and allergen labels. Plan preparation water, cooking energy, storage space, and opened-container use.
- For electrical equipment, measure loads and compare watt-hours, continuous watts, and startup surge separately.
- Keep ordinary pantry food, bottled water, an existing backpack, and a small power bank in the comparison.

Battery stations are different from fuel-burning generators. Operate fuel-burning generators outdoors, at least 20 feet from doors, windows, and vents, following manufacturer and official guidance. Never connect a generator to a wall outlet.
We do not endorse unverified EMP-protection claims, recommend fuel-burning heaters as a general indoor backup, or present potassium iodide as general radiation protection. Potassium iodide protects only the thyroid against radioactive iodine in specific circumstances; take it only when public-health officials or a healthcare provider direct you. Sheltering and evacuation instructions remain the priority.
